Protecting the water environment and ensuring high public health standards is a major responsibility for any community.

We have developed more than 250 sewerage systems across NSW,  arranging the safe disposal of wastewater on behalf of our clients.  We have pioneered innovative sewage treatment systems for small towns and developed systems for the biological removal of nutrients, as well as being at the leading edge of the environmentally sustainable use of wetlands and water recycling systems.

Our world class sewerage management expertise includes:

  • Reticulation
  • Transfer systems
  • Treatment
  • Reclaimed water management
  • Sludge and bio-solids management
  • Automated control systems
  • Plant operations

NSW Public Works can help clients to provide sewerage facilities, meet higher standards for treatment or respond to community demand for stronger environmental safeguards.  NSW Public Works is a member of the Co-operative Research Centre for Waste Management and Pollution Control.
